Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the HR Senior Manager will be responsible for structuring and maintaining A2's compensation functions. The role will also have the opportunity to serve as an HR business partner for our Technical Operations group. As a team, HR is responsible for ensuring that A2's people strategies drive organizational performance and create an environment where our employees can flourish. This role will partner with other leaders to develop people strategies that drive the performance of the company and ensure that we maintain our spirit of innovation and community as we grow over the next couple of years. This is a great opportunity to see how all the elements of HR come together and move a company forward. 

This position will be hybrid with the ability to be remote with a few days onsite at our Agoura Hills, CA location. 

Responsibilities: 

Structure and maintain A2's compensation functions which includes management of compensation planning cycles, the annual bonus payout, and the delivery of other compensation programs such as internal and external offers, and compensation policies. Conduct regular compensation benchmarking to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness, including participation in data sharing with industry surveys. 

Serve as a HR business partner to our technical operations department, working closely to help this team achieve their goals and objectives. 

Participate in A2's performance and talent management processes (goal setting, feedback, performance reviews, succession planning etc.) to ensure A2 has the people and capabilities required to deliver its business strategy. 

Participate in the performance management process, providing managers guidance on documentation and performance improvement plans. 

Partner with the business and recruiting team to ensure A2 has a strong pipeline of talent. Oversight of the administration of onboarding and offboarding, salary justifications, monitoring headcount and hiring plans. 

Review HR policies and programs to ensure policies are up-to-date and well communicated to all stakeholders. Provides team members with policy guidance and interpretation. 

Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. 

Oversight of Immigration and Visa management. 

 

Requirements

 

Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years HR experience in compensation or relevant HR experience OR Master's degree and 6+ years of compensation or relevant HR experience 

Must have experience in building and developing pay ranges, salary structures and comp planning tools, familiarity with Radford AON a plus. 

Knowledge of current market conditions, developments and trends to recommend and support design of compensation programs. 

Must be process oriented with the ability to analyze and understand complex data and information. 

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to build and manage relationships at all levels of the organization. 

Ability and passion to work in a dynamic, fluid, and fast-paced environment. 

Sound judgment and leadership skills 

Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of US labor law and HR best practices 

Biotech experience is highly desirable
