Job Description

Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco focused on the development of cell-based therapies for neurological diseases. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who has a passion for the clinical translation of scientific research. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small team, develop and deliver transformative science, and take part in building an exciting, science-driven company.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute towards the development of new processes for administering cellular therapeutics.
  • Provide technical and scientific support to operating room and clinical staff as Neurona’s representative at clinical sites during patient enrollment activities.
  • Participate in the training and technology transfer of cell transplantation procedures to clinical sites.
  • Travel to clinical sites will be required (approximately 25% effort)
  • Demonstrate good follow-through and closure of responsibilities/assignments.
  • Manage equipment and material inventories as needed throughout studies.
  • Understand SOPs, proactively report compliance concerns and adverse events, and contribute to continuous process improvement strategies.
  • Present data at team meetings. Contribute towards scientific reports and regulatory submissions.


Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology or a related field, with applicable research experience.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to interact professionally and effectively with physicians, nurses and other external clinical staff.
  • Preferred experience includes work with cells or medical devices and exposure to working in a healthcare setting.
  • Adaptable / Flexible - willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities as well as an ability to meet day-to-day challenges with confidence and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated with a sound work ethic, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to acquire new technical skills.
