As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding team members in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
Reporting directly to SVP, Commercial, this newly created role will serve as a leader in building our analytics & insights capabilities including forecasting, data management, market research, and competitive intelligence. Candidates should be passionate about team leadership, functional excellence, and contributing as an individual in a growing organization. This position is based out of our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Building our analytics & insights capabilities in order to inform successful Commercial development
Generating strategic insights from market research, competitive intelligence gathering and analytics to drive critical business decisions and strategy, in support of current business needs and future opportunities
Collaborating with commercial and other functions to understand current and future market landscapes, define business needs and primary market research objectives, and shape forecasts and financial model inputs
Translating data and information into compelling insights and recommendations. Effectively communicating insights and leading meetings with commercial team members and other cross functional business partners
Developing and managing revenue forecasting to inform portfolio and product planning; while refining our forecasting approach as business needs evolve
Reinforcing market research best practices, identifying market research and data sources, vendor options, and methodologies that are best suited to address a business need. Managing third parties associated with this function
Overseeing competitive intelligence planning and synthesis of information and insights
Leading and developing a team of 1-3 direct reports
Required Skills, Experience and Education
Advanced degree in scientific or business field and 12+ years of relevant experience in biotech, pharma and/or consulting
Experience in oncology and with product launches
Prior people management and team leadership experience
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to structure and interpret data to drive decision-making and impact strategy
Prior experience and proficiency with short and long-term forecasting, market research and data management
Strong business acumen and ability to think and operate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing environment
Revolution Medicines currently requires that all personnel and visitors to its offices be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This role will require that the employee meet with company employees and work from the company’s offices. Given that these essential functions of the role must be performed on-site, this position requires full COVID-19 vaccination, subject to applicable law.
The expected salary range for this role is $240,000 to $280,000. An individual’s position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
