Job Description

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development, and implementation of all environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EH&S Specialist will be responsible for adherence to the safety policies and practices set by company procedures and corporate goals that ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Identify, assess, and recommend control measures or corrective action(s) for environmental, health and safety concerns.

  • Conduct investigations into incidents and near misses to determine root causes for preventive actions.

  • Maintain EH&S programs and participate in new program development and implementation.

  • Participate in regulatory inspections and serve as liaison with regulatory agencies.

  • Perform ergonomic evaluations.

  • Engage in committee participation related to safety and sustainability.

  • Provide general support to EH&S function across all operations.

  • Assist with management of medical and hazardous waste programs.

  • Perform inspections of EH&S related equipment.

  • Develop, prepare, and deliver EH&S training to employees and contractors working at the site.

  • SDS database management.

  • Inventory and replenish supplies as needed, including personal protective equipment and spill response supplies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement waste reduction initiatives and promote sustainability practices.

  • Assist in emergency preparedness and response.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years’ experience in environmental health and safety or related field.

  • Experience conducting ergonomic evaluations.

  • Ability to provide clear verbal and written communication (written, verbal, and presentational).

  • Understanding of EH&S regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software systems.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups and manage EH&S programs.

  • Must be flexible, initiative-taking, and able to adapt to change quickly.

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly, and lift 0-20 pounds.

  • Strong focus on customer service.

  • Independent worker and initiative-taker.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working within life sciences or pharmaceutical research and development is highly desirable.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000 to $120,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
