Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco, CA that was created to develop cell-based therapies for neurological disease. We have an opening for a Preclinical Research Associate who will contribute to ongoing programs and build new animal models to study modulation of neural circuits and support translational development of cellular therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:
– Processing tissue for histology: Microtome and cryostat sectioning, staining, immunohistochemistry, imaging and quantitative analysis
– Working with rodents including handling, dosing, surgical procedures, and tissue collection
– Observation and scoring of behavioral assays
– Following experimental protocols and maintaining detailed and accurate records
– Analyzing data and communicating results
– Conducting independent experiments and contributing to collaborative activities
Required Qualifications:
-- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant lab experience and supporting references that includes working with animals.
-- Experience working with neural tissue is a plus
-- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to contribute to a team
-- Clear, effective written and verbal communication
-- High energy and passion for drug discovery and development
