Position Description

The Laboratory Operations Associate will assist with day-to-day laboratory operations ensuring efficient laboratory infrastructure services and support. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with laboratory staff to maintain inventory, equipment utilization, and assist with routine laboratory maintenance.

The Impact You’ll Make

  • Assist – with all aspects of laboratory operations including laboratory services and support, procurement, equipment management, waste management, material management, inventory and logistics.
  • Support – general laboratory and facility-related work requests and the ordering, receiving, and stocking of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Maintain – inventory of supplies, maintenance plans and logs, and use instructions for all equipment.
  • Ensure – cleanliness and overall organization of all areas of the laboratory and that general use laboratory items are in adequate supply such as dry ice, LN2, CO2, laboratory coats, etc. 
  • Take - responsibility to maintain laboratory records, reports and files.
  • Manage -  and resolve administrative and technical problems.
  • Recommend - and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures.

Please note that this job entails some stocking and moving activities. Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

You have

  • A BS with 2+ years of previous industry experience in related role
  • The ability to interface and communicate well across all levels of an organization as well as with outside vendors.
  • Good relationship building and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform in a start-up environment.

Optimally you also have

  • Working general knowledge of common equipment used in immunology and cell biology laboratories such as plate readers, MSD, Luminex, flow cytometry, laminar flow hoods, etc.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety policies (i.e., chemical, biological, BSL2+)

Compensation for this role ranges from $65,000-$85,000 depending on experience
