Job Description

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Revolution Medicines is seeking an individual with strong organizational and communication skills to support medical writers in the planning and completion of high-quality, submission-ready clinical research documents. This role is an individual contributor reporting to the Senior Director, Medical Writing.

This position is responsible for coordinating Medical Writing activities in a fast-paced environment and communicating timelines for various clinical regulatory deliverables. Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Senior Director, Medical Writing to assign full-time and contract writers, copy editors, and external QC reviewers to different projects.

  • Tracking and responding to medical writing support requests.

  • Recognizing potential scheduling and resource conflicts across projects and providing recommendations to resolve.

  • Providing clinical development and nonclinical team members access to various medical writing files and timelines as needed.

  • Organizing and updating training materials including the Medical Writing style guide, work instructions and SOPs.

  • Assisting with onboarding of new medical writers.

  • Assisting with quick-turnaround responses to a health authority requests.

  • Tracking changes in standard language and working with Regulatory Operations to update document templates.

  • Maintaining internal QC checklists.

  • Working closely with medical writers to streamline and improve processes.

  • May perform document checks for consistent use of terms and formatting.

  • May represent Medical Writing at cross-functional team meetings.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and familiar with Smartsheet.

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills: able to work with multiple groups of people at one time, remaining calm, professional, diplomatic, and positive.

Preferred Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience working within a pharmaceutical company.

  • Experience with medical writing and QC resource planning.

  • Familiar with StartingPoint and AMA style.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $158,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
