Job Description

Today the company has seven disclosed programs, including four in Phase 2 or 2b studies, across three therapeutic areas: cancer, retinal diseases, and liver and metabolic diseases.

We are currently seeking a Scientist I/II with a background in protein biochemistry and  a passion for innovation, teamwork, and performing impactful science. Working effectively within a dynamic and highly interactive Biologics Group and the larger Research Group, the successful candidate will provide cutting edge analytics for solving protein production challenges and verifying protein quality and developability.  The position will enable the candidate to perform a wide range of techniques and provide broad opportunities for professional growth.


  • Perform a broad range of protein analytics on protein drug candidates to assess their developability
  • Support junior members of the team with technical and career
  • development
  • Perform protein purifications and troubleshoot any issues with purification
  • using AKTA AVANT systems
  • Present findings internally to various stakeholders


  • Deep understand of protein chemistry, including analyses, structure and function
  • Experience purifying and characterizing proteins, ideally antibodies and antibody fragments
  • Experience with biophysical tools: DSC, DSF, DSC, ce-SDS, cIEF, mass spectrometry
  • Experience with analytical chromatography as applied to proteins, particularly the common column chemistries employed, how to troubleshoot, e.g., affinity, ion exchange, size-exclusion, etc. 
  • Experience with mass spectrometry of protein drug candidates, ideally antibodies or antibody-like molecules, intact mass, reduced and non-reduced, bottom up proteomics, in-gel digestion.


  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Biological sciences or a related discipline
    • Postdoctoral candidates from industry or academia are encouraged to apply
  • Deep understand of protein chemistry, including analyses, structure and function
